A new battery invented at Georgia Techthat converts a person’s physical motion into electric power has been named a Top 10 physical science breakthrough of the year by Physics World magazine.
The device looks like a typical disc-shaped battery.
Said Wang, “you can use physical motion like you’re walking [or] you’re moving your arm to directly convert electricity and store in a lithium battery for charging for driving personal or portable electronics.”
