More than 1,500 Facebook users have started placing advertisements on their own profile pages–despite the social networking site’s rule against such ads.
They are posting them with the help of a Montreal-based company called Weblo, an advertising network that sells ads onto people’s blogs and social networking profile pages.

Thanks for everyone’s response so far the Facebook Weekend BETA. Just a reminder that developers can post their interest (by platform) etc. on the discussion board in the group. There are some very interesting app ideas already posted - we encourage you to post yours.

Things are starting to get interesting. We have just seen the posting of the first 3 ideas for the upcoming weekend. Looks like we have 2 for profit and 1 not-for-profit approaches.
